Our Story

i-Sight was founded in 1999 by Ray Gerard and Geoff English, two former technology executives who saw a need for complaint management software that didn’t force users into rigid, pre-configured systems.

Working out of Geoff’s attic, the two original founders were soon joined by Jason Victor, who built the first version of i-Sight, and Joe Gerard, who came onboard to market and sell it.

Within the first year, the four partners had built i-Sight into a viable company with 10 core customers, many of whom are still using i-Sight today. The intuitive and configurable solution resonated with those who needed more control over their processes.

In 2006 a request to build a version of i-Sight for tracking and reporting on workplace investigations gave the partners an opportunity to answer a growing need for powerful investigative management software.

The investigative case management product was so well received that it became i-Sight’s core product, providing much-needed help for companies struggling to manage their increasing investigative workloads and use their data to implement risk management and prevention programs.

Today, the privately held, Ottawa-based company is run by three of the original partners whose collective vision and focus on innovation have positioned it as an industry leader in the investigation software market.
